Institute of Technology, Carlow
CONICA partner and sports surfacing specialist, Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds, completed the installation of the athletics track at The Institute of Technology Carlow.
This challenging installation took almost 1 year to complete following major delays resulting from bad weather and Covid-19. The new track forms the stunning centrepiece of a much larger investment in new facilities.
In total, the College has invested €15 million developing the 31 acre sports campus, making it a world-class outdoor training facility that includes 6 new LED floodlit pitches, a 1.6km looped walking trail, the 400m CONICA supplied athletics track and a pavilion building, including changing rooms, meeting rooms and ancillary space.
