The launch of two layer hybrid rubber mulch

CONICA is pleased to confirm the launch of our new two layer hybrid mulch system.

Available at thicknesses from 50mm to 120mm, this system utilises an SBR impact absorbing base layer and a top layer of coloured rubber mulch.

Critical fall height results are almost identical to single layer rubber mulch (for an equivalent thickness), but overall material costs are significantly lower.

Our single layer system has also just been retested to the latest EN 1177-2018 standard and a wider range of thicknesses has been tested; 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm and 120mm.

Single layer system build up:

  • Rubber mulch at varying thicknesses
  • CONIPUR 4051 binder

Two layer (hybrid) system build up:

  • 4-10mm SBR (CT4010) of variable thickness (total thickness, less 30mm of mulch)
  • CONIPUR 4020 binder for the base layer
  • 30mm of rubber mulch
  • CONIPUR 4051 binder for the mulch (it is also possible to use other CONIPUR binders)
